Willingness

Please forgive my self-indulgence but I feel compelled to share these thoughts with you.

Since November 2025 I seem to be in a cycle of challenges! I know I’m not the only one. Most everyone I know has been dealing with them. Water seems to be a main theme…too much of it in places it shouldn’t be. And, of course, the brutal cold, snow, and winds color the days dreary.

I’ve had my moments, but for the most part I’ve been able to accept the challenges and meet them head on. I’ve put myself in the right frame of mind…believing that everything happens for a reason. I pulled an angel card from my deck this morning and the message I received was ‘willingness’. I interpreted that as I am willing to see these challenges as opportunities instead of obstacles. Hospital stays, astronomical electric bills, broken water pipes, and snow in Georgia!

I found strength in healing, accomplishment in fixing a water leak, a tiny nostalgia for New England snow (very, very, tiny), and the acceptance that cost of living will do what it does, rise! What I know is that, keeping a positive attitude, I always get what I need. I’m never sure where or who it will come from, but the universe provides.

This isn’t something that comes naturally to me. I need to work at it every day—recalibrate the negativity that exists inside and turn it on its head. I aspire to express only positive thoughts and words. And I must be willing to fail to appreciate the successes.

All we have is today, and today is a great day! So press on and know that you are not alone!
